鳥獣略画式（ちょうじゅうりゃくがしき）／鍬形�澪悄覆�わがた けいさい）画
江戸時代後期の絵師・鍬形�澪悄�1764〜1824）による動植物画の手本書。寛政年間（18世紀末）頃に刊行。鳥類、獣類、魚介、昆虫など、多様な生き物を簡潔な筆致で描く方法を段階的に示す。�澪愼汎辰侶斂�で観察的な筆線により、写生と略画の中間を行く表現を確立した。
『山水略画式』『人物略画式』と並ぶ「略画式」三部作の一つであり、後世の浮世絵師や意匠家に広く参照された。明治以降も写生・図案の教材として利用され、海外では日本のデザイン感覚を伝える重要資料とされている。
Chouju Ryakugashiki (Simplified Method of Drawing Birds and Animals)

It presents simplified brush methods for depicting birds, animals, fish, and insects, balancing natural observation with expressive stylization.
Keisai’s lively and economical line work captures the essence of movement and form, making this one of his most admired manuals.
Together with Sansui Ryakugashiki (landscapes) and Jinbutsu Ryakugashiki (figures), it forms a trilogy that deeply influenced later Japanese and Western artists alike.
